Costa del Sol in April

April on the Costa del Sol is 17 °C by day and 16.5 °C in the sea. Early for the beach, the best time for everything else: load 2 out of 5, clear roads, and the heat does not arrive until June.

The Costa del Sol is fourteen places in our base, and the spread between them is wider than on some whole coasts. On the appraisal basis the square metre runs from €2,529 in Vélez-Málaga to €4,292 in Marbella — 1.7 times along one shore. On asking prices the spread is wider still: €1,581 in Torre del Mar against €3,450 in Manilva. Only figures on the same basis can be compared. On this coast winter liveability runs from 4 to 5. April is good because you can see that spread in a single trip: Nerja to Manilva is 130 kilometres as the crow flies, and along that stretch there are both villages shut outside the season and towns that work all year.
