This site sets no cookies. Not analytics, not advertising, not «for your convenience» — none.

This takes ten seconds to check: open developer tools, the storage tab, and it will be empty. We write it up as a separate document because people look for one, and its absence reads as something being left unsaid.

Then how does language work

On a first visit the server looks at the Accept-Language header your browser sends to every site and redirects you to the Russian or the English version. Nothing is stored: the choice lives in the page address, not in your browser. That is why a /en/ link always opens in English, no matter who opens it.

The single exception

On pages with a map your browser contacts the tile server openfreemap.org. It is a third-party service: it sees your IP address and may use its own technical mechanisms. We configure nothing on its side and receive no data from it.

If this changes

A consent banner will appear before the first cookie, not after. While there is none, there is nothing to consent to — and that is the only honest reason not to show a banner.
