Reus is a city fifteen kilometres from the sea, the second most populated in Tarragona province with around a hundred and eight thousand people. It enters our base under the general rule of within a hundred and fifty kilometres of the coast. Antoni Gaudí was born here, and the city is built up with modernist houses by his contemporaries.
In the nineteenth century Reus grew rich on the nut and wine trade, and the wide streets and mansions remain from that time. Today it is an ordinary working city with a hospital, university faculties and a low-cost airport through which half the Britons on the Costa Daurada arrive. Housing costs less than on the coast. The sea and Tarragona are fifteen minutes away.
