April is 20 °C in the air and 20 °C in the sea: the island comes out of winter, though the gap with January is only a degree and a half. That is the Canaries in one line — there is barely a year here, just a flat line swinging five degrees between February and August.
The winterers leave by April and the load drops to 2 out of 3. This is the best month to see the island without crowds and without the Easter premium: accommodation is cheaper than in March and the weather has settled. One more thing: Puerto de la Cruz in the north has 55 rainy days a year, Adeje in the south has 18. Choosing the island means choosing a side of it too.
