Spend April driving the shore. The Costa Blanca runs about two hundred kilometres, from Dénia in the north past Torrevieja towards the Murcia border. The north is cliffs, coves and hills; the south is flat plain, salt lagoons and long straight beaches. One airport serves all of it, at Alicante: 25 minutes from Santa Pola, 95 from Jávea. That gap decides more than it looks.
